Founded in 2002, the Center for Progressive Reform has quickly become a vital and active participant in the policy dialogue in Washington and around the nation. Its focus on health, safety and the environment, together with its Member Scholars’ expertise in issues of policy, regulation, litigation and more, has made it a first-order resource for policymakers and media outlets seeking clear and objective analysis and commentary.
CPR’s unique model – a network of more than 50 well respected Member Scholars around the nation, volunteering their time and energy – allows it to be extremely cost-effective. But the organization’s small staff, vital to connecting the Member Scholars’ research and analysis to the policy process in Washington and elsewhere, as well as the costs of publishing, promotion, web design and other outreach tasks, requires some funding.
